Do you believe in signs? Any kind of signs that seem to point you in the right or wrong direction for something concerning you or even loved ones? Some examples like Deja Vu, random thoughts that hit you that seem to tell you something, or even objects or people. Call me crazy, but I believe in signs, I just don't know if they are really true and don't know how to exactly follow them. What are your thoughts on the matter? I believe in "signs" to some extent. Dejavu is definitely a real phenomenon, and I believe a little bit in telepathy. I think that your gut could sometimes lead you in the right direction, but that isn't always the case. I also believe that there are "good" and "bad" feelings attached to certain things. it's a confusing thing for me for over the past 5 or so years ive become more critical and analytical about s***, especially since having gone to uni at the same time a lot of these things (e.g., deja vus, some aspects about dreams and dreaming, etc) arent really well-known so it's hard to rule out anything, so i acknowledge the appeal and kind of like initially fall into them, but i also try to question it because i like the idea of being in control of my own life. edit: i also get really intuitive about certain things to the point where people get creeped out by how accurate i can be at times. i dont think there's anything mystical or w/e about it, but i wouldnt know how to explain it either Edited by Buuberries, Sep 9 2013, 04:49 AM.

I've definitely gotten "bad" feelings about things before, and it turned out to be correct, so I believe in that kind of stuff to some extent. |

Sometimes yes. Lately lots of things have been happening at the perfect exact time for me. Like my dad yells at me for doing something and I would stop doing that thing for no reason and 5 seconds later he would come see me. Something out there is helping me. |

I think many of these things that we "can't explain" (dejavu, the dream cycle, certain sensations, gut feelings, telepathy) could all be worked out by a part of the brain that we don't use very often. I don't know the exact numbers, but humans only use a small portion of their brain. |

idk from what ive learned is that we use all parts of our brain... just not at the same time, otherwise we'd get overloaded with information. |

I just Googled and we definitely use more than a small portion.[1][2] If we only used a small portion, damaging that other majority shouldn't affect us, but it does. The potential percentage we use is a philosophical issue, but I don't want to turn this into a discussion about the human brain. I'm on the fence about people being able to use telepathy. Seems out there. I'm sure we don't use all of our brain, so it was just an assumption. I can just see it being a possible reasoning behind these things. It sounds way more likely to me than something related to a god or paranormal.

I'd believe that as well. There's definitely a scientific answer for these happenings, whether we've found it yet or not! |

Yep I do. Sometimes I felt about bad things, and it turned out to be right. The same as Lord Pyrus. Wait, wait a minute. Lord Pyrus, are you a fan of Supernatural? Then you're no Lord Pyrus anymore

I think that all the phenomena that could be considered "signs" (Deja Vu, gut feelings, dreams etc) are by-products of our brain working in ways we aren't aware of. The brain works sub-consciously, we know that much, and I believe that these "signs" are the brain working to protect us, gathering information and making decisions without us being aware of it. |

I'm on the fence about whether I believe in them or not, but what Mitas said makes sense. |

Great answers, guys, I'm learning a lot here. So is there any specific signs that stand out to you personally? Sometimes different times that I catch often seem to tell me something sometimes. |

I definitely believe there are signs in life to lead us in what direction to go. As far as what to look for, it's hard to say. It just seems to happen at random when you least expect it. |
